[00:00:00] Foreign. [00:00:13] Welcome back to another edition of the Weekday Podcast. This is Bobby. Pastor Chuck and I absolutely love being able to spend this time with you every single weekday. If there's ever a topic, if there's ever something that you want to explore deeper, feel free to drop us a [email protected] and we'll consider it for a future episode. Well, today I want to read this one little verse from Philemon. 1 verse 21, where Paul says, having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, since I know that you will do even more than what I say. So Paul's ending this little letter with a hopeful sort of suspense. He says to Philemon, I know you'll do the right thing. In fact, I trust you'll go above and beyond what I've asked. But here's the wild part of the story. We don't get to read Philemon's response. It just ends right there. The ink is still wet. The story is not resolved. And I think that's exactly where many of us are. We're caught in the middle of a sentence that the next part of our life hasn't been written yet. But God, he's holding the pen. [00:01:10] Church history tells us that Onesimus didn't just go back, but he rose up. He actually became the pastor of the city of Ephesus, one of the most influential churches of the early movement. But Paul didn't know that when he wrote this letter. He just believed in grace enough to give the story room to grow. [00:01:28] Now, you don't have to have it all figured out today. You just need to remember that the next page, it's still blank. It's not over. The relationship can still be restored. The calling can still come alive. And the ending, it can still change. Don't let a chapter define your life. The story's still unfolding. And the author, he's a redeemer. And so here's my encouragement today. Don't close the book on your life. God's not done. And the ink, it is still wet. Have a great day.
