[00:00:22] Speaker B: Well, hey friends, it's so great to have you on the Weekday podcast. If you find these helpful, if you don't mind, would you spread the word? Send people to weekdaypodcast.com Our goal is is to encourage as many people as possible when Romans 10, verse 9. There's this famous little verse that says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Now imagine with me, imagine if you wake up to find a bill in your mailbox that's for, I don't know, a million dollars. And the problem is you have zero in the bank. You have no way to pay it. You could sell everything you own. You could work three jobs, but to be honest, it'll never cover the cost. And honestly, that's what sin does in our lives. It racks up a debt that we can't afford to pay. And so the Bible reminds us in Romans 3:23 that all of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It's like a credit card. Sin really is like a credit card that doesn't have a limit. So every bad decision, every selfish choice, and every moment of pride is a swipe of that card over and over again. And the interest rate, it never stops growing. Now, many of us try to pay off our sin in our own strength. We try to work harder. We try to be better. We try to make promises we can't keep, but deep down, we know we can't fix it on our own. That's where Jesus steps in. Romans 10:9 again says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. In other words, to Jesus took our bill, he took our debt, and he signed his name at the bottom and he stamped it, paid in full. So today I want to encourage you, stop striving to earn God's favor. It's already given. Confess your sins and trust in Jesus. Finished work. Live in the freedom of knowing that you are fully forgiven. And maybe today take a moment to say thank you, Jesus, for paying the debt I could never repay. Help me to walk in your grace and to never forget the price that you paid in Jesus name. Amen. Have a great day. We'll see you back here soon.
