[00:00:00] Foreign.
[00:00:10] Welcome back to another edition of the Weekday Podcast. Today I want to read you a couple more verses from John 6. This is verses 8, 9 says. Then Andrew Simon, Peter's brother, spoke up. He said, there's a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?
[00:00:28] So yesterday we talked about the problem of scarcity. After naming the problem of scarcity, the disciples noticed something small, seemingly insignificant. This one little child's lunch. There's no strategy, there's no surplus. Just a simple offering placed in the presence of Jesus. Now, the miracle doesn't begin with a wealthy donor. A miracle doesn't begin with a strategic plan or a bold disciple. It begins with just a little boy, a simple lunch, five loaves and two fish. Now Andrew voices the most honest question that many of us probably have whispered before. What good is this? And honestly, that's a fair question. It sounds a lot like our own doubts. What if what I have doesn't matter? Or what if what I have is too small? Or what if it's just insignificant? Now here's the quiet truth. When you think about the kingdom of God, God often multiplies what we're tempted to dismiss. The thing that you overlook, the gift that you minimize, the effort you think won't move the needle. This miracle reminds us that it's not about how much you have, it's about whose hands it's in. If it's in our hands, honestly, it's limited, it's scarce. But in Jesus hands, it becomes abundant. Why? Because small surrender creates space for big movement. When we offer what we do have, instead of focusing on what we don't have, heaven begins to step in. So today, I just want you to think about what is that small thing in your life that you've been overlooking? What is that small thing you've been holding back? What might happen if you placed it fully in God's hands? Have a great day. We'll see you back here soon.
