[00:00:00] Foreign.
[00:00:10] Hey, everybody. Pastor Chuck Allen here with another weekday podcast. And on this Tuesday, I want to talk about the mustard seed way.
[00:00:17] Jesus tells this story in Matthew 13. He says, the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants. Smallest becomes largest throughout the Bible. That's a rhythm. But I got to tell you, we struggle with that. I. I do. I think most of us do, because I think America has trained us to believe that if something matters, it should look like it matters.
[00:00:51] And more often than not, it should look like it matters right away.
[00:00:56] You have a big launch, you have quick results, you have a visible impact.
[00:01:00] But Jesus says the kingdom doesn't work like that.
[00:01:04] It starts almost invisibly, like something you could lose in your hand.
[00:01:11] And for a while, nothing happens that you can see. There's no applause, there's no recognition, there's no proof. There's just dirt.
[00:01:20] And that's where faith comes in. That's where trust comes in, because faith trusts that something is happening even when nothing is visible.
[00:01:31] And I think we ought to just be honest. That's the hard part of this whole Christian life thing, because we want transformation now. We want healing now. We want clarity and breakthrough now.
[00:01:47] But God is interested in growing roots, and roots take time.
[00:01:53] Isaiah, the prophet writes in chapter 55, verse 8, My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the Lord, and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
[00:02:05] All of that means the slow work might actually be God's real work.
[00:02:10] It's the hidden and quiet work. It is the unnoticed work.
[00:02:15] So if you feel like nothing is happening in your life right now, that's probably not true.
[00:02:21] You might just be in a seed season, and seeds don't look impressive until one day they break through. And when they do, it's not random. It's the result of a long, quiet faithfulness that nobody saw.
[00:02:37] So today, my encouragement to you is keep planting seeds, keep trusting, keep showing up, and let that breakthrough happen in God's time. Because, well, that's how the kingdom of God grows.
[00:02:52] This way. The seed way, the mustard seed way. Thanks so much for joining me on today's weekday podcast. And my encouragement to you is to recognize that God is at work in all things and most especially in those small things.
[00:03:08] So as you go about the day, remember, be fully present in all those small things and watch how God will remind you this is how he does his best work in his people, like you and me. God bless you, friend. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for listening in to today's weekday podcast.
