[00:00:22] Speaker B: Hi everybody, Pastor Chuck Allen here with another weekday podcast and I want to ask you this question. How do you bring joy to God? Just think about that. It's easy for us to point out how he brings joy to us, but how do we bring joy to Him? Well, in the book of Hebrews 13, beginning in verse 15, the new king James puts it this way, Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name. But do not forget to do good and to share. For with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. You see, the story of Jesus as God's eternal Son has no beginning. The story of Jesus as fully God and fully human begins with his conception and birth. He has always been, but as we know him as Emmanuel, God with us begins with his conception and birth, immaculate and of a virgin. And it ends with his sacrificial death on the cross and his resurrection three days later. But it actually didn't even end there. It was only fully complete when he sat down, triumphant, 40 days later at the right hand of the Father where He prays for you today. So how do you truly bring joy to God? You worship Him? How do you show how much you love Him? You do so by praising God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit with your mouth, both in prayer and in song. You do so by repeatedly speaking to him and speaking of him and speaking about Him. Well, we do that also by doing good and sharing with others. For with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. Did you hear that part again?
For with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. Your words praising Jesus and your good words and actions towards the people around you bring God joy. Lord, help us today to worship and praise you with all of our being, with all of our thoughts, our words and our actions in Jesus name. Amen. Amen and Amen.
