[00:00:07] Speaker A: Welcome to the Weekday Podcast of Sugar Hill Church, where we desire to help you know God and discover your purpose, whether you're exercising, driving, meditating, or just hanging out while you tune in with us today. Thanks. We hope these next five minutes help you feel encouraged and inspired for your day. [00:00:22] Speaker B: Well, hey friends, welcome back to another edition of the Weekday Podcast. This is Bobby. We're so thrilled you're here today. If you're new to these, we spend about five minutes a day every single weekday and our hope is to offer encouragement for you today. Well, today on the podcast, I want to talk about when the middle, and we've all been in a middle moment feels like a mess. The Bible says in Genesis 39, verse 2, the Lord was with Joseph. So he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. Now, his master saw that the Lord was with him, and how the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hand. Now, here's what I found, is that we all love a good before and after story, whether it's fitness, transformation, home renovations, or even spiritual breakthroughs. We celebrate the beginning and we celebrate the end. But what about the middle? No one posts pictures of the days when it feels like their progress is invisible. No one brags about an 18 miles of a marathon when their legs are screaming. Life's middle seasons are messy. The middle is where enthusiasm fades. When questions rise and doubt, it begins to creep in. It's where Joseph found himself far from his dreams, stuck in a situation he never, ever asked for. He went from the father's favorite child to being a slave in a foreign land. And yet the Bible says over and over again, the Lord was with Joseph. And here's what I want to tell us today. The middle. It isn't a waste. Joseph's story reminds us that the middle isn't just something to endure. It's actually where God does some of his best work. Joseph didn't check out. He didn't step back. He didn't give up. Instead, he actually leaned in. He allowed the middle to shape him instead of breaking him. So what if the season you're in, that messiness, that uncertain middle, is actually shaping you for something better? Think about a butterfly in its cocoon. It could feel trapped. It could feel confined. But inside that tight space, that that's where transformation is happening. What looks like a setback is actually the setup for the wings of that butterfly to form. And so what's your middle today? Maybe it's that job where you feel unnoticed. Maybe It's a relationship that's harder than you expected. Maybe it's a dream that feels delayed. Maybe it's a faith journey where God feels distant. But God is not absent in the middle. He's actually present. He's shaping your character, deepening your faith. And he's preparing you for for what's ahead. And so today I want to encourage you that God's greatest work isn't in your highlight reel where everything's great. It's actually in the middle moments. You might not see it now, but one day you'll look back and you'll realize that what felt like a detour was actually a divine direction. What felt like a delay was actually preparation. So here's the question today. Where is God shaping you right now? Instead of waiting for this season to end, would you ask him to reveal what he's doing in it? Heavenly Father, we know the middle is hard. It feels slow. But help us to trust you that you're here and you're going to help us in every single moment. And it's in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Thanks so much for hanging out with us today on the podcast. We look forward to seeing you back here very soon. [00:03:31] Speaker A: Thanks so much for joining us today for the weekday podcast.
