[00:00:00] Foreign welcome back to another edition of the Weekday Podcast. Thanks for hanging out with us today. I do want to encourage you to go to weekdaypodcast.com to find our back catalog and it's an easy way to share more encouragement with more people. Thanks so much for being here today. We're One of the things that I think is so interesting as we think about a seat with your name on it, is that Grace doesn't just include you. Grace actually adopts you. We've been thinking about the story of Mephibosheth and how David brought him to his table. It wasn't a one time act of charity. [00:00:43] Hear that? It wasn't a one time thing. It was a lifetime seat of honor. He ate at the king's table. And here's what the verse says like one of the king's sons. And I think that is the heart of the gospel. God doesn't just rescue you, he redefines you. He doesn't just say, welcome back. Let's see if you can earn your way in. Instead, he pulls out a chair, he engraves your name on it, and he says, this one. This one belongs to my child. So think about this. The table covered Mephibosheth's broken legs. He still had a limp. He still couldn't walk properly. But under the table, in the presence of the king, no one saw the brokenness. They didn't see it. No one saw the brokenness. They just saw a son. [00:01:27] Now we know this, but we all carry some kind of limp. [00:01:31] For some, it's insecurity. For some, it's a history of addiction. For others, it's a broken relationship or a failure that we regret. But Grace doesn't expose your limp. It covers it. Not to hide it in shame, but to seat you in dignity. And here's the truth. Today. The table isn't full. It is not full. There is still room. Your name is still on the place card. You don't have to settle for standing at the edge of the room hoping to be noticed. Grace is already waving you in. And so today I don't want you to just hear about the feast. I don't want you to just admire it from a distance. I want to invite you to take a seat. You may still have a limp, but you have a seat and it's secure. And the king doesn't seat you because you're perfect. He. He seats you because you're his. Have a great day. We'll see you back here soon.
