We're so glad you're here. If you don't mind, would you help us spread the word? We'd love to encourage as many people as possible. Just send them to weekday podcast.com weekdaypodcast.com and that will give you the back catalog of literally thousands of episodes. It'd be our treat and our honor to be able to serve you in that way. And also, if you're not connected with us on Instagram yet, be sure to link up with us there for some behind the scenes footage as well. Well, today I want to encourage you with just this thought that the pit, it is not permanent. Now, in Genesis 39, verse 21, the Bible says, but the Lord was with Joseph and he showed his steadfast love and he gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Now, if you know the story of Joseph, you know that he had dreams of greatness. But before the palace, he went through the pit. He was betrayed by his brothers, he was sold into slavery, he was falsely accused, and he was thrown into prison. His life was a roller coaster of ups and downs. But through it all, there's this reminder. God was with Him. Now, I just want to speak to you a moment because I realize that maybe many of you are in a pit season, that life isn't turning out how you expected. And maybe you're facing setback and disappointment or a season of waiting. But here's the reminder. Your pit, it is not your permanent address. Joseph's story reminds us that even in the darkest moments, God is still at work. He doesn't waste any part of our story. And what feels like an ending might actually be a setup for something greater. So today I just want to give you a couple of questions to think about and just remind you your pit is not your permanent address. Question number one is, have you ever felt stuck in a difficult season? How did God show up? How did he show up? Question number two, what's one way you can trust God more in your current circumstance? Do you believe that God's with you? And number three, how can you encourage someone else that's going through a tough time? God could use your story to encourage their story. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for today. God, when we feel stuck in this pit, would you remind us that you're still with us? God, would you help us to trust that our story isn't over, that you're working even in the hardest moments? Heavenly Father, would you give us faith to keep going? Amen. Well, thanks so much for being with us on the weekday podcast. Please let us know if we can serve you or pray for you in any way. Drop us a note at [email protected] have a great day. [00:02:42] Speaker B: Thanks so much for joining us today for the weekday podcast.
