[00:00:09] Speaker B: Welcome back to another edition of the Weekday Podcast. I'm so grateful you're here with us. If you don't mind, would you consider sharing this with a friend today? Our hope is to encourage even more people. Just send them to the website weekdaypodcast.com well, there's a familiar verse in Romans 10, verse 17, that says this. So faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ. Now, you know this. We live in a world of constant noise. There's notifications and opinions and updates. And so the question isn't, are you listening? The question really is, who are you listening to? Now, when Paul writes this, Paul says that faith comes by hearing. And it's not just by hearing once, but it's by hearing again and again and again. His idea here is it implies repetition. In other words, faith is fueled by consistency. Now, as he's writing this, there are these young believers in Rome that lived in a city that was filled with thousands of competing voices. So Paul reminds them that real faith isn't hype. It's actually hearing the word of Christ on repeat until it shapes their inner world. Now, God's word is both your foundation, but it's also your weapon. In Ephesians 6, he calls it the sword of the spirit. In Hebrews 4, it says that it's living and active. And so when lies and fears come at you, you don't fight with wishful thinking.
[00:01:20] Speaker A: You.
[00:01:20] Speaker B: You fight with truth. It's like showing up at a football game without your playbook. Everyone else knows the routes, and you're just guessing or trying to assemble Ikea furniture. Without the instructions, you'll end up with six leftover screws and a wobbly chair. Now, God's word is your playbook. God's word is your manual. And without it, faith wobbles. But with it, your faith is firm. So I want to give you five quick ways to equip your faith this week and going into the weekend. Number one, listen to scripture. Listen to it while you drive, while you work out, while you're getting ready in the morning, listen to it. Number two, speak truth out loud. Before fear has a chance to whisper, just speak it out. Number three, sing worship songs. These are songs that can anchor your heart. Number four, pray verses. Especially when you don't know what to pray. Pray verses back to God and make scripture your conversations. Just personalize it. And then, number five, share a verse with a friend. Go ahead and do it right after this podcast. Text them, because faith multiplies when you give it away. Now, it may feel awkward at first, but repetition, it builds rhythm. And every time you fill your mind with truth, your faith grows stronger Roots. So don't underestimate the quiet power of repetition. Every verse you read, every song that you sing, every truth that you declare, it is another log on the fire of your faith. The enemy wants you to drift, but God invites you to dwell. And when you dwell in his word, your faith is can weather any storm. And so I want to encourage you. Faith is fueled by hearing truth on repeat. So keep God's word in your ears and in your heart. And over time, your faith won't just survive, it will actually thrive. Well, thanks again for being with us today. If we can encourage you in any way, drop us a
