[00:00:22] Speaker B: Well, hey, friends, welcome back to another edition of the Weekday Podcast. We're so glad you're here. Hey, if you're not connected with us on social media, especially Instagram, be sure to search us out. Connect with us there, where you can find reminders about the podcast, but also supplemental materials that I think will be encouraging to you. Well, today I want to think about this idea of being prepared for what's next. Often that messy middle is actually what prepares us. Genesis 41, verses 14 through 16 says, Then Pharaoh sent and called for Joseph. Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying, it is not in me. God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer. Now, I think sometimes this is the scene we're looking for. Have you ever seen somebody finally step into their calling and thought, wow, they were made for this? What we don't see in those moments is the years of that unseen preparation that led to that moment. Joseph wasn't ready for leadership when he was a teenager dreaming about ruling over his brothers, but years of struggle. Those years of struggle actually refined him. By the time that Pharaoh called him to interpret a dream, Joseph was no longer an arrogant boy. He was actually a humble, wise man. And that's what I mean by the middle. Training you for what's next. Joseph middle season wasn't a mistake. It was training. Every skill he needed, he learned in the middle. When you think about management, he learned that in slavery, People skills, he learned that in prison. Humility, he learned that through being forgotten. Wisdom, he learned that in the waiting. That's the reminder. Every skill that he needed for his destiny, he learned in the middle. And so I want to remind you that your middle is not meaningless. It's actually shaping you for what's next. The things you're learning now, the resilience, the character, the wisdom, they're preparing you for a future that you cannot see yet. So today, I just want to remind you, today's setbacks are tomorrow's setup. Your story will be someone else's strength. So as you think about a takeaway today, I would encourage you, instead of fighting the middle, embrace it. Trust that God is using this season to prepare you for something greater. Heavenly Father, would you help us to see this season through your eyes? Help us not to rush ahead. Help us not to fight the process, help us to trust you, prepare us for what's next, and it's in Jesus name we pray. Amen and Amen. Thanks again for being with us on the podcast. Please consider sharing these. You can send people to weekdaypodcast.com, we'd love to encourage as many folks as possible. Have a great day. We'll see you back here soon.
