[00:00:10] Well, hey, friends, welcome back to another edition of the weekday podcast. Thanks for hanging out with us. If you find these encouraging, if you don't mind, share them with a friend, just send them the link weekdaypodcast.com Our hope is to encourage even more people. Well, Nehemiah, chapter 2, verse 5. This is Nehemiah speaking to the most powerful man in the land. And he says, if it pleases the king, send me to Judah, to the city of my father's graves, that I may be able to rebuild it. Now, courage does not mean you're not afraid. It actually means that you move forward while you're afraid. And I'm telling you, Nehemiah was terrified. The king could have ended his life with one wrong word. But fear, it didn't stop him. Faith carried him. When Nehemiah said, send me, he was stepping from comfort into calling. And he traded that palace of luxury for broken walls and uncertainty. He didn't wait for perfect conditions. He moved in obedience. And that's what faith looks like, trusting that if God called you to it, he'll actually meet you in it. Now, the king not only agreed, he provided letters, he provided timber and protection. And what Nehemiah couldn't manufacture, God multiplied. So, like finally clicking Book flight on that dream trip, your excitement turns into panic as you realize, oh, no, I actually have to go.
[00:01:26] Now, stepping into God's plan can feel like that. It's thrilling and it's terrifying all at the same time. But when God gives you an assignment, here's what I would encourage you to do. One is to say yes before you see how, like obedience comes before clarity.
[00:01:39] Number two, ask boldly. Nehemiah did not make small requests. He asked big because he served a big God. And number three, trust his provision. I'm telling you, God had already softened the king's heart before Nehemiah actually spoke. The courage to start is often the miracle that unlocks everything.
[00:01:59] So courage is not the absence of fear. It's actually faith in motion. Whatever God's calling you to build, don't let fear stop your first step. Well, have a great day. Thanks again for being here today. We'll see you back here soon.
