[00:00:00] Foreign.
[00:00:07] Hey, everybody. Pastor Chuck Allen here with another weekday podcast. And today I want to follow up on our conversation yesterday and talk about after the fire and God's gentle pull.
[00:00:19] Welcome, y'. All. I'm so glad you joined me on today's weekday podcast. Have you ever won big?
[00:00:26] A promotion breakthrough? I mean, this wild success in business or athletics or education or music or whatever your thing is.
[00:00:37] You just had this big breakthrough, and then all of a sudden, you plummeted into doubt. It was like. That was so fleeting. I can't even remember the good times anymore.
[00:00:48] Elijah did, too, and his story whispers hope straight to me and you if you pick up. In First Kings, chapter 19, it says, Beginning of verse 11, the Lord passed by and a mighty windstorm, but the Lord was not in the wind.
[00:01:07] After the wind, there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake, there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.
[00:01:17] This is wild, epic drama, y'. All.
[00:01:21] Zero divine presence in the midst of all of that, God's not in any of it. And the question we should ask is, why?
[00:01:31] And the answer? Because God chooses intimacy over spectacle.
[00:01:37] Then the gentle whisper hits Elijah, covers his face. He steps out, and God asks, what are you doing here, Elijah? Don't you love that? That the God of all creation steps into us so personally and says, what are you doing here?
[00:01:56] I love that because once again, God chooses intimacy over spectacle.
[00:02:04] Not judgment, but invitation to unload, to hear fresh purpose. God reveals 7,000 faithful remainder. You're not alone. You're not a solo Elijah.
[00:02:20] Noise rewires us against quiet. But my encouragement to you today is flip that protect five minutes today.
[00:02:29] Feel the pull that is God drawing you near, sparking new life in your bones.
[00:02:37] You've got this. The gentle voice is your greatest strength.
[00:02:41] Friend. Listen. Rise up.
[00:02:45] Whispers birth wonders.
[00:02:48] Let your prayer be. Lord, pull me from the roar into your whispers. Embrace, friend, in the midst of a world that is clattering and clanging and absolutely dying for your attention.
[00:03:02] The one who breathed life into you and created you and holds you in the palm of his hand is waiting for you to give him a moment of silence so that you might hear from him, know it's him, and walk in confidence because of him. And that, my friend, now that's worth living and that's worth listening for. The whisper, God bless you. Thanks so much for joining me on today's weekday podcast.
