[00:00:10] Well, hey friends, welcome back to the weekday podcast. This is Bobby. I'm so glad you're here today. Today on the Friday edition, we're wrapping up a theme all week long as we've been thinking about what is our word of the year. The reason why we've been focusing on this is Rock Sunday is this week. So if you're able to join us in person at 9:15 in the worship center or at 11 in the chapel or the worship center, I want to highly encourage you get here early, be part of the day. It's going to be incredible. As we dive in today, what we've been doing all week long is trying to help you identify that word. And so we've been talking about a lot of different categories and today's category is the category of impact. Now let me read our verses for the day. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus says this. He says in the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father and who's in heaven. [00:01:00] So when you think about your word, this is just the sense to try to get the wheels turning for you. Your word might not just be about personal growth, it might be about who God wants to bless through you this year. Now sometimes the clearest word comes when we ask this one question. Who might be impacted if I fully live into what God is calling me to do? Because here's what I know your wife has influence, your presence matters, your obedience affects more people than you probably realize. And so as you think about this today and you think about this category of impact, here's some words that I want you to consider and see if any of these stir something in you. And the first one is the obvious word impact. This is where if this is your word, you'd say man, I want to live with awareness that my life influences others. Or maybe the word might be something like serve looking for ways to meet the needs around you. Or maybe love choosing sacrificial care for others or invite bringing people into spaces of belonging. Or how about the word encourage using your words to build others up or generosity living open handed with what you've been given. [00:02:08] Or witness letting your life point to Christ or build strengthening what God has placed around you. For some of you, the word might be created bringing something new and good into the world. Or maybe it's reach moving towards people and instead of away from them or lead guiding others towards what is good and true. Or what about multiply? This is where you invest in others to see that growth continue. [00:02:34] Or hospitality, man. Some of you, this could be your word, hospitality. Creating spaces where people feel seen and welcome. And so all week long, I've given you a question each day. Here's the final question. [00:02:46] What is God inviting you to step into this year? Now, I want to encourage you. Don't overthink it. Don't chase the most impressive word. Ask the most honest one, God, what is the most honest word for this year? And I'm telling you, there's something powerful about picking a word that sets the direction for your life this year. And so today, man, I want to encourage you, show up ready in person for Rock Sunday. If you're not able to be with us in person, of course, you can join us online. And if you're not local, you can get your own rock and your own Sharpie. But I want to encourage you, pick a word, let's write it down. Let's put it somewhere this year that we'll see it to help us to live with intention. Well, thanks so much for being here this week. If we can encourage you in any way, drop me a Note@Bobby SugarhillChurch.com have a great day. We'll see you back here soon.
