We're so thrilled you're here today. Hosea 14, verse 9 says, the way of the Lord, 3, 2. Well, hey, friends, welcome back to another edition of the weekday podcast. Thanks for hanging out with us today. Hosea 14:9 says, the ways of the Lord are right, the righteous walk in them. So today, I want you to think about trusting God's story. See, when you align your life with God's story, there's something powerful that happens. Closed doors no longer feel like an end. They begin to feel more like, well, a redirection. There are no longer interruptions to your plan. They're actually divine intersections with God's plan. Now, there's examples of this all throughout scripture, but Paul probably is the one that demonstrates this most well, firsthand. See, God closed door after door after door. For Paul's missionary team. North, south, east, they're all blocked. Only one direction remained. It was to go west. What felt like frustration actually turned out to be a setup for an incredible opportunity. That's how Paul and his team ended up in Philippi. Check out Acts 16, verses 11 and 12. Once they were there, they didn't waste time. They got to work spreading the gospel, and their impact was undeniable. But not everyone celebrated. Pagan leaders threatened by their influence, stirred up trouble. The next thing Paul and Silas knew is they were falsely accused. They were stripped and they were beaten with rods, and they were thrown in the deepest, darkest part of the prison. Now pause there for a second. Can you hear it? Can you hear the sound of the heavy doors slamming shut? Can you hear the locks clinking into place? I think most of us would have been overwhelmed. Not again. God. Another dead end. But not Paul and Silas. Instead of groaning, they chose something radical. They worshiped. From the depths of the prison came the most surprising sound. Prayer and praise. You see this in Acts 16, verse 25. Their feet were chained, but their hearts were free. How did they do it? How could they sing in the face of such pain and uncertainty? The way they did it is they trusted God's story. So here's the truth Today, when you trust, God's story is bigger than your situation. Closed doors become opportunities for faith, and prison chains becomes platforms for praise. What looks like an obstacle might just be the opening for God to do something greater than you ever imagined. So the reminder is this. A closed door doesn't mean God is done. It means he's redirecting you to something better. So whatever you're facing today, don't let the sound of a slamming door drown out your hope. Trust his story. Keep walking. Keep worshiping. Because when you trust the author, the story always leads to something good. Have a great day and we'll see you back here soon.
