[00:00:22] Speaker B: Hi, everybody. Pastor Chuck Allen here with another weekday podcast where I want to go back to what I shared a little bit about last Sunday. How do you discover peace through surrender? I don't mean giving up. I mean laying down. So let me tell you something about surrender. When most folks hear that word, they think it literally means, okay, I quit. I'm giving up. But in God's kingdom, surrender isn't about losing. It's about winning by letting go. Consider Joseph's situation. Here's a dude who had his whole life planned out. He's engaged to Mary, probably picking out curtains and furniture, when suddenly, boom, his fiance's pregnant. And he knows that. He knows that. He knows he's not the dad. Now watch this. Joseph had every reason to protect his reputation. The law was on his side. But when God showed up in that dream, Joseph did something revolutionary. He surrendered his rights for God's purposes. I wonder how much more beautiful America could be if we'd stopped fighting for our rights and chased after God's purpose for us. But I digress a bit. Let me tell you why this matters. Your peace isn't found in controlling your circumstances, friends. It's found in surrendering to the one who controls your circumstances. All circumstances. Joseph didn't fight for his rights. He surrendered to God's plan. Here's the theological truth. When you surrender to God, you're not giving up control. You're giving it to the only one who knows how to use it all properly. So, my friend, let this be our prayer. Lord, let me lay down my fight and surrender to let you fight for me. Lord, I want to surrender my will and my way to your will and your way so that your plan might have control over my life. Thanks so much for listening in to this day's weekday podcast and have a great day. Bye now.
