[00:00:05] Hey, everybody, Happy Friday and welcome to another weekday podcast, and I'm so glad that you've joined me today. I want to talk a little bit today about Kingdom culture in your personal life. And the whole concept behind it is seeking the kingdom first in the way that you actually live now. In Eugene Peterson's the message in Matthew 6:33, it says, Steep your life in God reality, God initiative, God provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. You know, I think one of the biggest illusions we live under is that peace is somewhere. Well, you know, out there in a better schedule, a cleaner home, a new relationship, or a few zeros added to the bank account. But Jesus invites us into something really different.
[00:00:59] He calls us to steep, to immerse ourselves in the reality of God's kingdom, like tea leaves soaking in hot water.
[00:01:09] Right now I've got some tea that's steeping in a cup here on my desk as I'm recording. And I'm watching it change color, get stronger, and become tasteful and pleasing.
[00:01:23] Remember, Jesus is calling us to steep, to immerse our lives in the reality of God's kingdom, like those tea leaves soaking in this hot water until every part of us takes on the flavor and aroma of Jesus of heaven.
[00:01:41] You see, what if the power of kingdom culture isn't about adding one more thing to your spiritual to do list, but about unlearning the anxiety of trying to build your own empire?
[00:01:55] See, when Jesus says, steep your life in God reality, he's reminding us that there's a deeper current underneath all the noise, a rhythm that moves to grace, not grind.
[00:02:09] Most of us wake up chasing affirmation. Am I enough? Am I doing enough? Have I built enough to feel secure?
[00:02:17] But Kingdom culture whispers something completely subversive. You already belong.
[00:02:25] You're already seen, already carried, already loved. And when you seek his kingdom first, you're not earning anything. You're aligning your soul with the flow of divine abundance that's been running toward you all along.
[00:02:40] Maybe that looks like pausing before you scroll, turning your worry into worship or trading cynicism for gratitude. Maybe it means redefining successful as surrendered the kingdom. Life doesn't eliminate ambition, y'. All. It redirects it. It transforms your goals from self promotion to God's purpose. Do you want peace?
[00:03:05] We'll start there.
[00:03:06] Practice trust in the unseen.
[00:03:09] Let your calendar reflect your convictions. Let your attention become an act of devotion.
[00:03:16] Today. Try it. Draw a deep breath in and say everything I need is already provided in Christ Jesus, and then choose to live today like that's actually true.
[00:03:30] Because Kingdom culture isn't about escapism. It's about engagement.
[00:03:35] It's heaven's heartbeat pulsing in your everyday moments, friends. And when your personal life starts moving to that rhythm, peace stops being something you chase, and it becomes something that you are.
[00:03:50] That, my friend, is steeping your life in God, reality, God, initiative, and God's provisions. Thanks so much for joining me on this weekday podcast on Friday. Hope you have a great weekend ahead.
