[00:00:07] Speaker A: Welcome to the Weekday podcast of Sugar Hill Church, where we desire to help you know God and discover your purpose, whether you're exercising, driving, meditating, or just hanging out while you tune in with us today. Thanks. We hope these next five minutes help you feel encouraged and inspired for your day. [00:00:22] Speaker B: Well, hey, friends, welcome back to another edition of the Weekday podcast. As I'm recording this, I'm thinking about my friend Don P. Gober, who's now with Jesus. But I love what she used to say. She used to always say, God's got this. And so as I was thinking about that today, I was thinking about Romans 8:28, where it says, and we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Truthfully, life is full of unknowns. Will the economy take a downturn or an upturn? Will your team pull off the win? What's going through your spouse's mind? And how will your kids turn out? Most days, we do not know even what to pray. But in the middle of uncertainty, Paul reminds us there are four things that we can absolutely be sure about. Number one is that God works. Even when it feels like nothing is happening. God is actually on the move. He's behind the scenes. He's orchestrating the details, and he's working tirelessly in ways that you cannot see. He doesn't take off days. He doesn't hit pause. He is always at work. Number two, God works for the good. God's goal isn't temporary comfort. It's not convenience. It's not entertainment. It is your ultimate good. And since he is the ultimate good, everything he does is aimed at bringing you closer to Him. And that's where true life is found. Number three. God works for good of those who love Him. Loving God comes with this promise that he weaves every part of your life into his perfect plan. And when you make his story your story, you're guaranteed a happy ending, one that is filled with redemption, with purpose and joy. And then number four, God works in all things now. Not just in the easy moments, not just in the victories, but God works in everything. The pain, the loss, the struggle, the uncertainty. There's nothing in your life that is outside his power to use for good. Now, this isn't wishful thinking. This isn't blind optimism. This is an unshakable truth that God's got this. God isn't just working around your circumstances. He's working through them for your good and for his glory. So when you're overwhelmed by all the things that you don't know. Hold tight to the one thing you do know that God works. He's never stopped and he never will. Trust him, even when you can't see it. Because God, he really does. Got it. Have a great day. [00:02:35] Speaker A: Thanks so much for joining us today for the weekday podcast. Our prayer is that the encouragement you just heard would help you live more like Jesus today.
