[00:00:22] Speaker B: Hi everybody. This is Pastor Chuck Allen and Merry Christmas. I want to welcome you to the weekday podcast today where we're going to talk about the promise of a Savior. On this short time we have together today, I want to explore the ancient prophecy of Jesus birth. The scripture says In Isaiah chapter 9, for a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace and his government and its peace will never end. Is this one of the greatest promises of all time? I mean, this powerful prophecy written centuries before Jesus birth paints a remarkable picture of who the Messiah is and would be. Notice the four titles that are given. Wonderful Counselor. Showing he has divine Supernatural wisdom. Mighty God Declaring His Deity, His Overarching power. Everlasting Father Expressing His Eternal Nature and Prince of Peace Revealing his Mission to reconcile humanity with God. These names weren't just titles, y'all. They were promises. In a world of uncertainty and in a world filled with chaos, Isaiah proclaimed a coming ruler who would bring eternal peace. This wasn't about political peace though it was. It wasn't just about a peace that would would be revealed, but a peace that he really was and is and embodies. He is our peace, the Prince of Peace. It's a deep soul level peace that only God could provide through the presence of Jesus the Lord. So take a moment today to reflect on which of these aspects of Jesus character speaks most to your current needs. Do you need his counsel? It's right there. Do you need his strength? It's right there. Do you need his fatherly advice and care? It's right there. And most of all, do you need his peace? Yes. And it's right there. Heavenly Father, thank you that in you we genuinely have a wonderful counselor, a mighty God, an everlasting Father, and our Prince of Peace. God bless you friend. Thanks so much for joining me on today's weekday podcast where you can always find five days a week a thought about scripture and how you can grow in Christ each day. God bless you friend. Bye bye.
