[00:00:10] Well, hey, friends, welcome back to the weekday podcast. This is the final episode of this series, and over the last few days, we've been walking through Nehemiah's story together. From remembering the mission to renewing the commitment, to reigniting anticipation. Today, we wrap it all up with one simple but powerful idea. Faithfulness keeps the story going. Now it's easy to see the wall that Nehemiah built as the big ending, the dramatic moment when everything was finally restored. But the wall wasn't the conclusion of God's work. It was the continuation of a calling. In Nehemiah 13, the people drifted. They'd accomplished the goal. The wall stood tall. The crowds had gone home. And without even realizing it, they moved from passion to autopilot. But Nehemiah did not settle for maintenance mode. He reminded them that God's faithfulness wasn't done yet. The same God who carried them through the rebuild wanted to keep shaping their hearts. The real miracle wasn't in the stones that were stacked high. It was in the steady hands that kept serving long after the spotlight faded. That's where legacy is built. Not in our biggest moments, but in our continued obedience. Paul captured that same idea in Philippians 1, verse 6. He said, Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of of Christ Jesus. God doesn't start stories he doesn't intend to finish. He's the author and the sustainer. He doesn't just bless beginnings, he multiplies what's maintained in faith. Sort of reminds me of a relay race. You can start the best in the world. Like, you can have perfect form. You can have a clean handoff, a great crowd cheering for you. But what matters most isn't that first lap. It's the faithfulness of the final one. It. If one runner drops the baton, the race doesn't end, but the momentum does. In faith, it works the same way. I believe every generation carries the baton of God's goodness a little further. Every act of obedience, every word of encouragement, every moment of quiet faithfulness keeps the mission moving forward. And that's what continuation looks like. It's not flashy. It's steady. It's running your leg of the race well and trusting that God will keep the story going long after you've finished your lap. So how do we live that kind of faithful continuation number one? Pay attention to God's presence. Like, slow down. Look for him in your everyday routine, in the commute, in the conversation, the quiet moment. Awareness builds intimacy Number two, rekindle your affection. Gratitude keeps love alive. When you take time to thank God for what he's done, you'll start to see his fingerprints on what he's still doing. And the number three, restore anticipation. Pray one bold prayer this week. Something that feels a little too big for you, but just right for Him. Let your expectations fuel your obedience. If you're tired, if you feel like your best days are behind you, hear this. The story isn't over just because it's quiet. God is still working. He's still faithful, and he's still riding through your life. Faith doesn't end with commitment. It expands through continuation. So today, take one act of continuation. Encourage someone who's ready to quit or revisit a dream that you've let drift. Because this isn't the end of a campaign. It's the continuation of a calling. The God who began the work is still at work, and his immeasurably more it is still on the way. Thanks so much for being here today. We can't wait to see you this weekend here at Sugar Hill Church. Have a great day.
