[00:00:07] Speaker A: Welcome to the weekday podcast of Sugar Hill Church, where we desire to help you know God and discover your purpose, whether you're exercising, driving, meditating, or just hanging out while you tune in with us today. Thanks. We hope these next five minutes help you feel encouraged and inspired for your day. [00:00:22] Speaker B: Well, hey, friends, welcome back to the weekday podcast. My name is Bobby. We're so glad you're here today. Today I want to think about this idea of being invited to a party. God has a party, he's got an invitation, and everyone's name is on the list. Picture this. You're throwing the biggest, the most epic party ever. Who's on your guest list? Well, in God's kingdom, the answer is simple. Everyone. When Peter preached that day in Jerusalem in Acts chapter two, he dropped a massive bombshell. The message of Jesus wasn't just for a select few. It was for everyone near and far, young and old, insider and outsider. In Acts 2:39, it says this. For this promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord God will call to himself. Now, I know what you're thinking, everyone. But what about fill in the blank? And that's where it gets beautiful and messy all at the same time. Yes, everyone. The religious folks, the rebels, the ones who have it all together, and the ones that feel like a hot mess. And here's the kicker. You can actually belong before you fully believe. Our church here at Sugar Hill Church is not a museum for perfect people. It's a hospital for the hurting, a family for the lonely, and it's a home for the seeker. But there's a tension here. While everyone's invited, there's only one way in, and that is Jesus. It's an inclusive invitation with an exclusive way. Jesus is on every road, but he's also the only road. So what does that mean for us as a family of faith? It means that we open our arms wide. It means that we welcome the unwelcome, that we love the unloved, and we invite the uninvited. That we create a space where everyone can encounter Jesus no matter where they're coming from. And so this week, I want you to just think about, who can you invite. Remember that God's party has an open invitation and everyone's name is on the list. Have a great day. We'll see you back here soon. [00:02:17] Speaker A: Thanks so much for joining us today for the weekday podcast. Our prayer is that the encouragement you just heard would help you live more like Jesus. Today. We would love to see you at Sugar Hill Church for one of our gatherings each Sunday at 9, 15 and 11. And we're always streaming live at Live Sugarhill Church. Thanks again for joining us today. As always, if Today's message encouraged you, share it with friends and family by tapping the share button. Have an awesome.
