[00:00:00] Foreign. [00:00:05] Chuck Allen, back with another weekday podcast, and I want to share something with you that's been stirring in me, really for weeks now. [00:00:13] I think Jesus likes to take our small acts and turn them into big ripples, like throwing a pebble into a pond, and it continues to ripple and spread out over and over and over again. [00:00:25] It's those small, tiny moments when you forgive or when you support, or when you cross some invisible line. [00:00:32] They all matter far more than you think. Or we give each other credit for. [00:00:37] Paul writes to us in Romans chapter 12 just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. That verse just levels the ground. I mean, it really does. [00:00:54] No one's above, no one's below. We belong to each other. And then over In Colossians chapter one and verse 20, we're reminded of the heart behind all that which says, through Christ, God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross. [00:01:15] That's the ultimate bridge right there, y'. All. Heaven stretched itself out to meet us. [00:01:20] No request for perfection, no paperwork design. [00:01:23] Just grace poured out over broken places. [00:01:27] So maybe the question this week isn't who am I disconnected from, but what do I need to cross toward? Maybe it's the neighbor who gets on your nerves, the one with the yard sign that drives you crazy. Or the relative you stopped talking to years ago. [00:01:43] Or maybe someone halfway across the world who just believes differently but needs to hear from you. [00:01:51] Paul again writes in First Corinthians 12, when one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it. And when one part is honored, all the parts are glad. The bridge starts in your heart, yo, before it ever touches ground. And every faithful step that you we make, a crossing puts the whole body of Christ a little closer together. [00:02:12] Lord, make us those people, bridge builders, grace carriers. People who run into the gaps of courage when the world looks at us. Let them see connection instead of competition, family instead of faction. [00:02:25] That sounds like a good idea for this broken, messed up world. God bless you, friend. Thanks so much for joining me on today's weekday podcast.
